At Hero, our Bookkeeperâ€™s primary goal is to manage the accounts payable and receivable processes within the company and to support the Accounting Team. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to be competent in or excel in all areas outlined for this position, meeting or surpassing set goals and expectations.
ïƒ˜ Part time work 15-25 hours per week
ïƒ˜ Monday thru Thursday
ïƒ˜ Flexible morning hours to be set between 7:00am and 1:00pm
ïƒ˜ Opportunity for development into a full-time position based on the companyâ€™s needs
Essential Job Duties:
ïƒ¼ Distribute incoming mail and add bills to accounts payable process.
ïƒ¼ Maintain a streamlined and organized Accounting inbox.
ïƒ¼ Properly code and enter accounts payable invoices.
ïƒ¼ Research discrepancies in data entry and resolve issues.
ïƒ¼ Ensure import process for key vendors is functioning and accurate daily.
ïƒ¼ Maintain vendor files.
ïƒ¼ Collect payments from technicians and process payments as needed.
ïƒ¼ Process customer financing forms.
ïƒ¼ Scan and file related documentation.
ïƒ¼ Code and import company credit card transactions.
ïƒ¼ Other duties as assigned by the Controller.
ïƒ¼ Backup to Accounting Team as business needs demand:
o Process daily deposits into QuickBooks.
o Review, batch and export accounts receivable transactions into QuickBooks.
o Process the weekly bill payments.
o Reconcile vendor statements at the end of the month.
o Data entry for job costing and department scorecards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
ïƒ¼ Understand and represent Hero core values at a high level.
ïƒ¼ Basic to intermediate experience in QuickBooks.
ïƒ¼ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel.
ïƒ¼ Able to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely with other team members, management, and customers.
ïƒ¼ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
ïƒ¼ Personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
Pay & Incentives:
ïƒ˜ Wage negotiated upon hire $20-$22 an hour
ïƒ˜ Pay increases are given based upon performance, not based on time employed with company.
