PENINSULA SERVICES is looking for very responsible and detail-oriented part-time Payroll Clerk.
You will perform biweekly payroll duties, general accounting, and office functions, as a member of our Business Office Team.

PAYROLL CLERK, part time, 20-25 hrs/wk
Where: Our Bremerton Business Office-7500 Werner Rd.
Type: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Wage: $17.00/hr. plus $2.50/hr. H&W benefits
Benefits: Paid Sick Leave, Vacation, 401(k) offered to join when hired
Work Schedule: Day Shift, Monday-Friday-Hours to be determined
Closing Date: October 16, 2020

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
 All aspects of biweekly payroll such as data entry, check printing, direct deposit;
 Electronic funds transfers;
 Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports;
 Perform general office duties: phones, filing, copying; and

 Minimum 2 years of financial and administrative/clerical experience preferred;
 Thorough understanding of and experience applying basic accounting principles;
 Proficiency in operating office equipment and computer programs, including payroll programs; Word and Excel; printer, scanner, networked computer, and 10-key (by touch);
 Display excellent administrative skills, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mathematical calculations; and
 Additionally, maintain accuracy; attention to detail; problem solving; effective communication skills; ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Basic Requirements
 Must pass agency and federal Naval base access background checks, drug screen, and confirmation that you are authorized to work in the US.
 Valid State Driver’s license required and clean driving record with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by our insurance company.
