Financial Analyst I - accounting / finance - job employment

City: Portland
Date: 24 Sep 2020
Category: Accounting & Finance

Are you starting out in Accounting/Finance/Economics and want to grow your skills while developing a new position at a dynamic credit union? Pacific NW Federal Credit Union is building our first Financial Analyst position. This new role will have a dual function in our accounting department, working with member and general ledger accounting as well as preforming a growing set of financial analyst duties.

On the accounting side, you will perform a wide range of accounting functions while coordinating and supporting the daily operational tasks of the accounting team. Key duties include posting to and balancing general ledgers, bank and account reconciliations and generating monthly financial statements for management. This is a busy, hands-on position requiring great attention to detail, accuracy and a “can do” attitude.

On the financial analyst side, we are looking for a person who loves Excel and databases and who would enjoy “fishing” for information in the many systems and databases Pacific NW uses to manage our members financial well-being. Over time this position will shift to an exclusively financial analyst position.

The successful candidate has a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or IT, one to three years of accounting and/or financial analyst experience, and proven success turning data into information. Demonstrable, current Excel skills are mandatory, especially working with data tools like pivot tables and data functions like VLOOKUP.

This is a non-exempt, full-time Monday – Friday position. We offer competitive pay and great benefits, including participation in our health plan after 60 days, paid time off accrual, paid holidays, paid volunteer time, employee loan discounts, a generous 401(k) package and best of all – you get to work with our great team of credit union professionals.
