Bookkeeper - one year maternity leave position - accounting/finance

Company Profile: Property maintenance business has been serving clients for 60 years.


Job Profile: Working closely with the GM and company Accountant you will oversee all AP and AR. You will have skills and understanding in full cycle accounting to assist and support as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Full cycle AP including; matching, coding, data entry of vendor invoices
• Preparing payments with supporting documents
• Checking payment requests for time sensitivity
• Setting up and maintaining vendor accounts
• Expense reports
• Set up recurring payments

- AR responsibilities including:
• Posting payments
• Preparing deposits
• High volume of invoicing
• Collection calls
• Billing for supplies and labour
• Recurring billing
• Internal AR audits
• Profit and Loss reports

- Various Administrative duties including mail, record keeping and tracking of information

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Accounting
• Work experience in AP and AR
• Full understanding of full cycle accounting
• Data entry capability with speed and accuracy
• Good computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
• Well-organized with excellent attention to detail
• Work well in a team environment
