Job Summary:
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Summary of essential job functions:
• Set invoices up for payment.
• Sort, code and match invoices.
• Enter invoices into system.
• Review and verify invoices and check request.
• Mail signed checks to vendors and sort mail to each location.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions by verifying entries and comparing reports to balances.
• Monitor discount opportunities.
• Research and resolve purchase order, invoice or payment discrepancy issues.
• Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Maintain accounting journals and ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Keep track of all pricing letters and makes copies for whom ever needs them.
• Reconcile monthly statements and related transactions.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain vendor records i.e. W-9 forms and tax info.
• Prepare and perform check runs.
• Assist with month end closing.
• Protects company’s value by keeping information confidential.


Minimum requirements:
High school Diploma
Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of accounting/account payable and all aspects of accounting procedures.


Abilities required:
Broad base of knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures, problem-solving skills, good Judgment and Team work
Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Ten key by touch required.
Good communication skills, Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
