Train and prepare temporary Election Day Field Support Technicians (FSTs) in startup, operation, and closing tasks for voting equipment.
Educate individuals in required communication and reporting tasks and protocols.
â€¢ Educate FSTs in operation of equipment following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; resolving issues and reporting status of activities.
â€¢ Train multiple classes daily in technical tasks to set up, maintain and close the voting system devices in a single polling place.
â€¢ Conduct training classes by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and situational specific use of the devices comprising a polling location.
â€¢ Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, technical tasks and reporting requirements, understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
â€¢ Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
â€¢ Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
â€¢ Evaluates training effectiveness against specific job and customer objectives.
â€¢ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Technical Trainer Skills and Qualifications:
â€¢ Excellent presentation skills,
â€¢ Good written communication skills,
â€¢ Experience in training adults in technology preferred
â€¢ Comfortable and confident in front of a large group
â€¢ Good time management skills
â€¢ Team Leadership skills
â€¢ Ability to assess and rate trainees on skills acquired
â€¢ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
â€¢ Job is full-time for three weeks in October/November.
â€¢ Must be available for Election Day, November 3.
â€¢ May need to travel, may need to stay overnight; travel expenses covered.
â€¢ Must have reliable transportation
â€¢ Must be able to pass a drug screen
â€¢ Must be able to pass a background check (NO felony charges)
â€¢ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
