Intermediate Systems Analyst - systems/networking

DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking an Intermediate System Analyst to be based in our Downtown Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will be our expert on the firm’s practice management system. They should have strong software and computer knowledge, exceptional communication and attention to detail with a desire to learn and contribute to the team.

Main responsibilities include the following:
• Lead technical support for firm’s practice management software including troubleshooting for staff and liaising with consultants;
• Upgrade software on an annual basis, including testing, training and implementation of new modules;
• Use your knowledge of SQL programming language to customize processes, update and export data and integrate with other internal software programs;
• Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and automatic notifications;
• Manage client, contact and jobs database, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information;
• Prepare and maintain user manuals, instructional videos and documentation on system configuration, processes and procedures;
• Leading or assisting with other IT and computer program related initiatives.

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a System Analyst or similar role;
• Completion of a Diploma or Certificate in Computer Systems;
• Experience with databases and writing SQL stored procedures;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills;
• Experience with using Task Centre (Codeless BPA Platform) and Microsoft SQL Report Builder would be an asset but not required.

• Ability to document procedures in written manuals and create instructional videos;

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Ability to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines;
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on exceptional service.
