Are you ready to design a better work experience for employees around the world?

ThoughtFarmer is modern intranet software that brings employees together—no matter where they are—keeping them productive, informed, and engaged. Our award-winning knowledge management and collaboration tool is used by hundreds of organizations around the globe.

We're hiring a User Experience Designer to help us create the future of workplace software.

You're someone who knows that little words like “simple, intuitive, useful” take big efforts to execute. You're curious about how collaboration works inside organizations and are excited about the UX design challenges that product design brings. You're looking for a place that values your career as much as your contributions, offering you opportunities for mentorship, career development, and skill development.

As a User Experience Designer, you will:

Assist with user research and testing to guide design decisions and user flows.
Translate ideas and research into tangible artifacts like wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.
Gauge the usability of new and existing features, and make constructive suggestions for change.
Help define product requirements focusing on business benefit and ease of use.
Work closely with other designers and the ThoughtFarmer product team to brainstorm and design new features.
Help create and improve our design system and processes.
Work with ThoughtFarmer clients to help them implement their intranets.

Requirements

You have great interpersonal skills and an ability to solve complex problems and think creatively. You're keen to learn new methods, and you keep on top of emerging trends in user-centred design methodologies and web application development. You're also open to considering different approaches to solving problems.

Experience designing websites, web apps, or digital products.
Understanding of user-centered design and interaction design.
Ability to distill complex problems and workflows into simple, intuitive designs.
Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate design rationale.
Experience in using UX design tools (for example Sketch, Axure, Zeplin).
Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other UX and visual designers.

Set yourself apart

Experience in product design and working in an Agile development environment.
A degree in a related field, such as human-computer interaction, human factors, or interaction design.
Experience with developing and maintaining product design systems.
Understanding of information architecture for web sites and/or intranets.
Experience with user research techniques such as usability testing.
Experience with facilitating customer and internal stakeholder workshops.
