Fast-paced, professional family law firm in downtown Seattle is looking for an experienced and highly organized Paralegal/Legal Assistant. This is a full-time position, hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Candidates being considered for the position must have a minimum of 3-5 years of solid Family Law paralegal experience. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task well in an extremely fast-paced environment; must be professional, dependable and efficient. In addition, the successful candidate will have superior client service and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and FamilySoft; experience with Prolaw is a plus. The successful candidate must be able to work well alone or in a team environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
â€¢ Full case management, responsible for keeping cases moving forward;
â€¢ Managing discovery;
â€¢ Tracking document requests;
â€¢ Drafting and responding to interrogatories and requests for production;
â€¢ Filing pleadings in Washington state and federal courts;
â€¢ Creating and maintaining electronic and paper case files;
â€¢ Managing financial documents and drafting property spreadsheets;
â€¢ Drafting and filing motion documents;
â€¢ Word processing;
â€¢ Deposition scheduling;
â€¢ Legal research;
â€¢ Preparing notebooks for settlement and trial;
â€¢ Calendaring and tracking all court deadlines and scheduled events;
â€¢ Communicating and coordinating regularly with clients and various other entities;
â€¢ Drafting and preparing all form pleadings, including but not limited to summons, petitions, confidential information forms, law enforcement forms, financial declarations, parenting plans, child support orders, subpoenas, witness lists, joint statement of evidence, ER904 disclosures, notices, note for motion, child support worksheets, and other pleadings and orders.

â€¢ Other administrative tasks that may arise.
