In this position, you will help us create cutting edge software that powers our market-leading SeeSnake plumbing diagnostic equipment and SeekTech utility locating devices. You will be responsible for a mix of driver and middleware/ application development on a variety of embedded hardware platforms.
â€¢ Develop or customize board support packages (BSP) for our hardware to provide additional functionality, e.g. software updates, security, and optimization.
â€¢ Write device drivers for bootloaders and the Linux kernel.
â€¢ Develop middleware and user applications, usually based on C/C++.
â€¢ Be an active participant in software architecture discussions.
â€¢ Stay current with latest best practices, and identify opportunities for technology, tool, and process improvement.
â€¢ Strong C/C++ development skills.
â€¢ Thorough knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
â€¢ Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
â€¢ Strong documentation and writing skills.
â€¢ Adaptable life-long learner with experience in emerging technologies.
Other Helpful Skills
â€¢ Experience working with Yocto.
â€¢ Familiarity with web front-end and back-end technologies.
â€¢ Experience with graphical application frameworks such as Qt.
Education and Experience
â€¢ BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar with relevant experience.
â€¢ 2 yearsâ€™ experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting using Linux on embedded systems
