Are you a junior level paralegal with some corporate or compliance experience? Are you looking to work in-house? If so, R & W Group has a great new opportunity! One of our favorite corporate clients is looking for a junior compliance paralegal to join their legal department in Northern VA. This is a newly created role with a company the works with the residential mortgage industry.

Job Responsibilities:
• Serve as a Compliance Liaison for supported companies through management of the Compliance Help email desk.
• Responsible for reviewing, clearing and tracking OFAC hits that are reported and arise in the supported companies
• Track, document and retain all advertisements for supported companies that are reviewed and approved by the Compliance Department
• Assist with the development of new training needs
• Maintain tracking of Compliance Help requests for supported companies
• Communicate observations and recommendations to various levels of business and Compliance management
• Post-Closing liaison between lender and third-party vendor
• Support business system testing functions
• Attend identified routine meetings
• Assist in running monthly reports as requested
• Assist with other Compliance projects and audits as requested

• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing residential mortgage lending preferred
• Residential mortgage lending compliance or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience with Encompass360 preferred
• Strong ability to work independently and as a team player
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to effectively resolve complex issues
• Strong attention to detail and excellent research abilities
• Demonstrate excellent written/verbal communications skills with all levels of the organization
• Superior customer service skills are a must.
• Strong ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to think critically and respond to the time-sensitive needs of the client
• Initiative, drive, self-motivation, good judgment and commitment to assuming roles of increasing responsibility.
• Experience with MS Office and Excel
• Previous mortgage experience as a loan processor, closer, post-closer is desired.
