Automotive accessory business which produces and sells a patented product worldwide.

This position performs a variety of technical tasks and support, addressing technical service inquiries, being involved in new product design, purchasing in these areas, and performing customer installations as needed. Basic level CAD preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities: This description may not be all inclusive of all of the responsibilities required in this classification.

Light Production - Assembly, inspection, cleaning, soldering, painting, drilling, sanding, repair and at times packaging and shipping products.

Engineering Assistance- This position does not require an engineering degree or extensive design experience but you must have a general knowledge of and experience with product drawings and be able to compare physical parts received to the drawings for quality control.

Vendor Communications- Must be able to communicate with fabrication and material vendors regarding our products and the technical aspects of our products. Advanced industry specific knowledge is not required and can be learned. Must be able to send purchase orders to vendors and follow up with ongoing orders. Must be able to research materials and supplies to get competitive prices and negotiate with vendors on our behalf.

Installation – Assist with product installs., must be able to present and install in a very professional, confident and courteous manner while interacting with the customer. Must learn specific model installations thru study of instructions, viewing applicable install videos and hands on experience.

Technical Service Assistance – Must learn to confidently speak with customers regarding technical issues with the products and guide them to a solution. Must be able to trouble-shoot and offer solutions to resolve the issues. Must be able to communicate with customers in a professional manner through email, phone and in person. Must be able to operate in an organized manner to log customer complaints in detail and follow up with logging the resolutions. Must also be able to take responsibility to ensure parts and accessories are mailed to customers in a timely manner and all tracking is ensured. Will also have input into updating and maintaining the Tech Service Handbook. Training will be provided for all of this.
Customer Service – Must possess experience with common courtesy and phone etiquette, be able to familiarize oneself with the product line and perform matching or suggestive selling to potential customers as needed. May also need to be able to respond to product inquiry in an informed, confident and courteous manner.

Potential Sales and Marketing Optional – if interested, once fully knowledgeable of products and competent in taking customer sales calls. General sales commission is 5% and most KPI employees earn some form of commissions in different ways after learning the products.

Shipping and Receiving – Must be able to cover in the area of shipping/receiving if needed. Perform quality inspections to ensure the product meets specifications before shipping to customers. Must have an understanding of the shipping receiving process.

Make Ready – Assist with make ready projects when time out of production allows to ensure supplies are available as needed.

Must possess the skill and ability to effectively follow directions and guidelines for inspecting, preparing and assembling products while exercising a high degree of precision to ensure the product is of top quality before releasing for shipment to customer.

Must be electronically inclined with basic experience and understanding in the area of installing auto accessories. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and have fine motor and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid TX drivers license
• Must have the ability to read, write and speak English
• Excel, MS Word, basic computer/office skills
• Good logical & analytical thinking abilities

Familiar with making YouTube videos, using photoshop or any other program that can be used to make installation instructions or illustrations.

• Part time position – averages 32 hrs per week possibly more depending on season and needs
• Sales Commission of 5% if trained and applicable to sales personnel

• Hourly pay ranges from $11.50-$15 per hour depending on qualification and experience.
