POSITION: Installer Technician - Level 4
LOCATION: Pensacola / North Florida Region

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
â€¢ Perform, and/or direct and supervise the performance of all installation and construction requirements, equipment testing, troubleshooting, site prep, power wiring, cable running, fire stopping, and placement of complete telecommunication systems with minimal supervision
â€¢ Supervising small to medium size projects
â€¢ Prepares, submits, retains all company/customer installation documents
â€¢ Must be able to conduct in-process quality audits and resolve any project related issues
â€¢ Other duties as required
â€¢ Minimum 4 to 6+ years of installation experience and evidence of having performed as a successful crew lead
â€¢ Current certification or take and pass the Level 4 skill level assessments for CenturyLink and/or another major carrier is a must
â€¢ High School Diploma with two years of technical school or a combination of training and experience related to the communications installation field
â€¢ Valid driversâ€™ license and be able to pass all pre-employment background checks
â€¢ Candidate must possess a wide variety of installer tools and test meters necessary to complete the most advanced assignments and installations as well as testing and turning up
â€¢ Fully understands all company/customer policies and procedures and safety requirements
â€¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
â€¢ MS Office skills
â€¢ Must be able to vertically lift 50lbs. Required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
â€¢ Must be able to travel up to 80%, as required
â€¢ Must have a demonstrable mastery of all installation skills and be able to train other employees in those skills
â€¢ Must have a mastery of equipment installation skills on a wide variety of systems including; Locating and anchoring equipment to its floor position, building cable rack and support structure, connecting to AC/DC Power systems, building fiber duct systems, installing all elements of a fiber optic system, cross-connects of optical and electrical circuits, mounting backboards, etc
â€¢ Must be able to do complete test and turn-up procedures utilizing computers, test equipment, and testing/diagnostic software. Must be able to assist other employees in these procedures
â€¢ High level of understanding of company policies and practices, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements. Will review subordinates' time and expense documentation for accuracy and completeness
â€¢ Be able to independently perform installation tasks with a high degree of competence and accuracy and take responsibility for the work of others for the same
â€¢ Must demonstrate an ability to read, understand, and apply job/equipment specifications, installation documents, schematics, and test records
â€¢ Must have a demonstrated proficiency in identifying and documenting change orders, generate daily activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion notices
â€¢ Must be able to self-perform in-process and final quality audits to ensure all items meet or exceed industry and/or customer standards
â€¢ Has the ability to work and report on multiple projects in parallel, which may entail several locations
â€¢ Ability to interface with customers, vendors, and other company employees in the completion of assignments
