Note: This position is for consistent part-time work (20-29 hours per week), which will eventually transition to full-time (40+ hours per week).

Requirements

· B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and education
· 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Android applications
· A strong sense of responsibility, and the motivation to assist with tasks that aren't necessarily in your job description
· A love of learning, and the ability to learn and pick up new technologies quickly

Experience with the following technologies is required:

· Java / Kotlin
· OOP Design Patterns
· REST API patterns
· Maven, Gradle, Android Studio/Eclipse
· Build automation, CI/CD, automated UI testing
· Linux environment; working with a command line interface
· Git
· A firm understanding of Android design guidelines (https://developer.android.com/design/)

Responsibilities

· Work with the design team to implement pixel-perfect mock-ups and prototypes
· Build out / update mobile apps from the brainstorming phase straight through to release in the Play Store
· Investigate bug reports and perform fixes
· Refactor code to improve design and reduce unexpected behavior
· Write unit tests and end-to-end tests
· Collaborate with the entire team for new features, bug fixes, enhancements, and refactoring. This includes explaining technical details to non-technical team members
