â€¢ Administers the day to day management and maintenance of the Server/Desktop infrastructure
â€¢ Administers the Active Directory security policies, user accounts, data backups, and anti-virus systems
â€¢ Manages and optimizes Microsoft-based enterprise solutions in both a physical and virtual environment
â€¢ Provides state-of-the-art solutions for high availability and fault tolerance
â€¢ Documents systems for end user and other IT personnel
â€¢ Analyzes system faults, troubleshoots, and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect and resolve problems
â€¢ Supports end users
â€¢ Identifies priorities and resolves escalated hardware and server issues
â€¢ Performs activities related to planning, installation, operational, administrative and technical support of Operating systems environment, and associated hardware/ software components
â€¢ Troubleshoots software and hardware problems, and identifies, implements and documents system fixes
â€¢ Maintains awareness of and participates in planning and notification of upgrades
â€¢ Other duties as assigned
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand-wrist) for keyboarding; vision-acuity (near) for monitoring PC screen data; Color vision necessary for working with color coded cables; hearing and speech (ordinary conversation) for communicating with staff and customers; touch (finger dexterity) for keyboarding; Environmental hazards include electrical hazards associated with working with computers, servers, and circuits.
Bachelor's degree in computer information systems (CIS) or related field and four years of experience in a systems administration role OR; any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
This position is non-exempt from overtime.
The ideal candidate would be an energetic, enthusiastic self-starter with an emphasis on the customer experience. This position will be working to support both cloud and onsite VMware infrastructure with clusters ranging in size from 3 to 20 hosts.
Manage support tickets using OSTicket support ticket management system; SAN storage solutions; Vulnerability Scanning; Knowledge of Privilege Access Management; Strong VMware/ESXI experience including patch management; 2012/2016 Windows Datacenter / GPO / Active Directory; Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or better.

â€¢ Network Protocols and Standards including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and SNMP
â€¢ Core software applications, including Active Directory,Group Policy, O365, IIS, SQL Server, AWS, Clustering, file/print services, backup/restore technologies, PowerShell scripting, Deployment Technologies (WDS, MDT, SCCM, InTune).
â€¢ HPE hardware, Microsoft Office Suites and datacenter operations
â€¢ Installing, configuring and maintaining all aspects of server hardware (both physical and virtual) and associated network environment.
â€¢ Server performance tuning and monitoring tools
â€¢ Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting techniques
â€¢ SAN â€“ Cybernetics, EqualLogic, HPE MSA, EMC
Working knowledge of:
â€¢ VMware vSphere 6.x, VCSA, HA/DRS environment
â€¢ Powershell Scripting
â€¢ Windows, Mac and/or Linux server administration and integration
