Junior Linux IDM Security Engineer

We are looking to hire a strong, self-managing engineer that has a solid understanding of Linux, enterprise applications and architectures, and basic development capabilities (Python / Shell scripts / Javascript / etc). We don’t expect you to know everything, but we want to see your ability to pick up new applications and processes quickly. This position is in Long Beach, NY, but has the ability to work remote most of the time once a solid understanding of the tasks are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities:
Engage in recurring meetings to discuss high level activities, onboarding, governance, applications, etc
Install various Linux applications in multi-tiered enterprise environment on Linux (PingAccess / PingFederate)
Configure enterprise Linux application to follow corporate best practices and runbooks.
Create custom HTML pages with modern frameworks (Angular / Bootstrap / jQuery / etc)
Migrate enterprise application from Development environments up through QA and Production systems
Checking in all custom code and development work into Git repositories

Must Have:
Solid understanding of working on enterprise Linux servers
Bash / Shell scripting
Solid understanding of working within enterprise architectures (change management / migrations / delegation of duties)
Strong understanding of Authentication vs. Authorization and various factors (Multi-Factor Authentication / One Time Passwords / Tokens / SSL / encryption)
Experience working with various corporate LDAP’s (not necessarily Active Directory)
Typical office applications (MS Office / PuTTY / Sharepoint / Visio)
Knowledge of enterprise architecture (DMZ / Data layer / application layer / firewalls / VIPs / etc)
Clear communication skills and ability to articulate your ideas clearly

Would Be Great to Have:
Ping Identity Management tools (Access / Federate / Directory / Proxy)
Python 3.6+ extremely useful for automation and helping generate reports
Splunk (used from the perspective of troubleshooting looking at logs)
History of using a ticketing system like Service Now
Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Mobile development skills
Web Development skills
Nunchacku skills

Pay rate:
We are looking to hire on W2 between $70k-$100k depending on experience. We also work on Corp-to-Corp for hourly rate of $40-$55/hr, also dependent on experience. Lots of room for bonuses and extra pay as well for overtime. We need someone to start yesterday! We are also offering $1,000 reward for a referral bonus to help get us the right person if you know someone.

The main thing is that we need someone strong in the “Must Haves” and we will train you up on everything else. Primary desire in a person for us is someone that will pick up new tasks quickly and is excited to learn about new technology and run with it independently. Our perfect candidate is someone that loves learning new things and hacks around on their own systems in their free time.
