Applications are invited for a marketing and social media manager to support a #1 bestselling author, Harvard psychologist and TED speaker. The authorâ€™s focus is on psychology and emotions.
The successful candidate will have a deep interest in psychology, leadership, coaching or a related field. With strong writing and editorial skills, accompanied by excellent experience the person will oversee all social media and marketing through the following activities:
â€¢ Curate, generate and post brand- and message-consistent content and visually engaging â€˜shareablesâ€™ across social media platforms.
â€¢ Plan and edit newsletter and related targeted marketing campaigns.
â€¢ Update social media channel information (e.g. biographies, Wikipedia).
â€¢ Assist with occasional physical campaign mail-outs to potential clients through identifying leads, contact information and CRM management.
â€¢ Identify and pitch suitable broadcast and print media leads.
â€¢ Project manage the redesign of the website.
â€¢ Be proactive in developing the end-to-end strategy, implementation and creative testing of social media, marketing and PR related activities, so as to increase audience reach and engagement (hashtags, SEO â€“ Google analytics, Google tag manager, social media and YouTube advertising.)
This role is for you if:
â€¢ You have a Masters degree or equivalent training or experience in a field related to psychology, coaching or organizational behavior and/or in communication, writing, marketing or digital media.
â€¢ You have outstanding written and communication skills across all formats.
â€¢ You have a strong attention to detail.
â€¢ You love design and appreciate how design and format impact audience engagement.
â€¢ Youâ€™re 10,000% comfortable working in a virtual environment and can work autonomously and in collaboration (youâ€™ll need to do both!)
â€¢ You have excellent project management skills and are able to juggle multiple projects while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges, and questions.

HOW TO APPLY
â€¢ Time commitment: The role is for 20-30 hours per week, with flexibility for the right person.
â€¢ Location: Remote, but in the Boston area. There will be the occasional need to come to Newton for specific project related activities.
â€¢ Remuneration: Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
