Summary

The Webmaster reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is a full-time position in our marketing department located at our main office in Santa Cruz, CA, a short distance from the famous boardwalk and surfing beaches. The right candidate may have the option to telecommute 1-2 days per week initially. The Webmaster is responsible for maintaining several web properties and marketing systems for the organization.

• Nonprofits Insurance Alliance of California (NIAC) was founded in 1988 to provide liability and property insurance to 501(c)(3) nonprofits in California.
• Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance, Risk Retention Group (ANI) was founded in 2000 to provide liability insurance to 501(c)(3) nonprofits with locations outside California.
• National Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance (NANI) was founded in 2000 to provide property reinsurance.
• Alliance Member Services (AMS) was founded in 2000 to provide staff, services and support to the other three cooperatives.

Responsibilities (included but are limited to)

• Administer all websites including performance monitoring and improvements, website security, server/system updates
• Manage website changes, coordinating with designers, content providers, brand manager, business managers, and IT department
• Collaborate with editorial and online companion resources
• Manage technical aspects of marketing automation platform
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Frontend website development (HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, PSD)
• Website hosting (AWS, Rackspace or similar)
• CMS (Wordpress, Hubspot or similar)
• Marketing automation (Hubspot, Pardot or similar)
• Webmaster tools (Google Analytics, Tag Manager)
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Professional manner and attention to detail and quality
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, reach or sit for up to 3 hours at a time
• Must have adequate vision (with corrective lenses if needed) to clearly view computer screen
• Must have adequate hearing to perform job tasks

Experience

• 10+ years managing and building websites required
• Insurance, finance or similar sector experience preferred
• Experience managing website redesigns
• In-depth knowledge of web design and maintenance
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
• Experience working in a member or mission-driven organization preferred
• Experience with commerce or transactional sites preferred

Education

Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field/related coursework
