I have a Pioneer SX-319V Audio/Video multi-channel receiver, which is a direct energy power amp. I used it for a party and because it stopped working. It was running for about 3 hours, and had little ventilation. When the music cut, the box was really hot, so I'm assuming it overheated. I've talked to a speaker store about it, and they told me it would be cheaper to buy a new one than to try to fix it. I got the box and 6 speakers for $125 from facebook marketplace. A used box from the store would be like $200.

If you have any experience at all with audio systems, I'd be willing to offer up my box for you to tinker. It's already broken, so I'm not sure how much worse you could make it lol. I'd be willing to pay like $50 if you can fix it, which could be negotiated. Contact me if you have any experience and could look at it. I have a car and could bring it to you within a reasonable radius of Kingston. Cheers :)
