We are a new and developing nonprofit in the website and social media sphere. We have two paid internships, or one with a higher payment if one individual could fill all roles and requirements. Our current primary client project is a climate change social media and website campaign for the United Nations.

Recent successes include the Men's Story Project (#MeToo and #BlackLivesMatter ally event series).

We are currently launching a fundraising initiative for rainforest protection and are working with the United Nations on a related global project. In 2017, we launched a social media comedy portal, which currently has almost 15K followers and has reached as many as 2M people with one post.

With all these successful projects and initiatives, we are ready to formally launch as a nonprofit (we have official nonprofit fiscal sponsorship through Fractured Atlas). This is a great opportunity to build portfolios of global, social-justice, fundraising, and arts-oriented content.

We are seeking one or two motivated college graduates (or equivalent life experience) to help us bring our work to the next level.

WordPress intern: full-stack coder with skills in HTML, PHP, MySQL, site administration, who can demonstrate live websites which address site security, custom-coded PHP, responsive, multi-user admin and editor roles, and comprehensive understanding of CMS development and strategy. Ideally can code a theme from scratch using Underscore and keeps up on Gutenberg and other developments. Bonus for graphic design, UI/UX skills.

Social Media intern: from concept, to execution, to promotion, you will collaborate with nonprofits, team members, and staff on campaigns related to progressive politics (think Bernie and AOC), global environmental campaigns, fundraisers, and NYC arts events. Ideally has a full toolkit of strong copy writing/editing, social-media savvy across all relevant platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, etc.) Bonus for Adobe Suite skills, owning camera, video shooting background. Ability to network and inspire volunteers, and coordinate/manage volunteers is a huge bonus in this type of work.

Pay is $500/month, flat rate. Some on-site work is required in our Manhattan office.

Opportunity to migrate into full-time, paid position.

Women and minorities encouraged to apply.
