When a government entity is seeking to hire a firm (such as ours) for a project, they will issue a “request for proposals†(RFP). It spells out the details of the project and gives step by step instructions on how to apply for the project - along with details on what a proposal must include.
We have a service that alerts us each time a new RFP has been issued. We are seeking a professional, DETAIL ORIENTED writer & creative designer to go through each RFP and develop each proposal for us to send to each project.
Selected candidate must be very detail oriented, and ensure that our proposal is meeting every guideline that the RFP has spelled out. Candidate should must have great writing skills AS WELL great design skills to make sure that the final proposal is very attractive and makes us stand out. The candidate would be expected to make sure that our proposal is staying within the guidelines the RFP has spelled out – while still allowing for an eye-catching presentation.
Each government contract can range from $15,000 - $200,000. Selected candidate would receive a percentage of the contract once it’s secured. Candidate would also receive a small fee for putting each proposal together.
To see a few examples of past RFPs and good past proposals that were developed in response to them, please follow this link:
Selected candidate is welcome to work from their own location. Most of our interaction will be through email and instant messenger. Therefore selected candidate MUST be responsive to their email and MUST be available to chat (through instant messenger) during work hours. If you are the type of person that takes 2 days to respond to an email, this role is not the right fit.
For our interview process, the candidate will also be asked to participate in a “test assignment†to demonstrate their capabilities. This test assignment will involve actually developing a full proposal to submit. This will be our chance to see how the person works and evaluate their work style, ethic, and capabilities. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable participating in this 'test assignment.'
Attention to detail is very important for a role like this. So priority will be given to those applicants who demonstrate that ability – and also have a nice portfolio of work to show.
