This primary areas of responsibility for this job relate to patients relations and telephonic intake of key demographic data. Answering customer calls and scheduling appointments are an essential part of the job. Other duties include preparing the medical record for the visit, taking and delivering messages to the appropriate staff member, obtain medical records from other healthcare professionals, handle incoming and outgoing mail, receives any visitors to the office, collect co-payments, informs customers of office policies and procedures, etc. The individual also ensures the area is safe and comfortable for customers and safeguards the privacy and confidentiality of the customers.
â€¢ Excellent telephonic communication and customer service skills
â€¢ Clerical experience; bilingual preferred
â€¢ Computer knowledge and experience
â€¢ Prior experience in a physician practice
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
*Bilingual- English and Spanish !*
Hearing: Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients and multiple personnel.
Vision: Normal visual acuity including depth perception.
Other: Subject to the hazards of radiation, patient body fluids.
