We have an immediate opening for a Senior Software Development Manager.

The Software Development Manager is responsible for the management of the in-house software development team and the coordination/collaboration with the outsource firms, the position is responsible for planning, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the required functionality requested by the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports
• Conduct interviews, hire new staff, train and evaluate work
• Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
• Mentor and advise, promote employees, set pay and terminate employees
• Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations
• Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO)
• Knowledge of project management principles and apply company approved methodology
• Prioritize and coordinate activities of project team members
• Participate as a project team member
• Identify project issues, and communicate progress and obstacles to sponsors and/or management
• Ensures that project remains on schedule, or revises schedules as required with the appropriate consultation, approvals and communication
• Handles multiple tasks and projects, concurrently
• Participate in cost/benefit analysis
• Demonstrate ability to lead/coordinate medium size projects independently and to assist in large projects (greater than 500 hours) under the direction of a project manager

Technical / Education / Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS – required
• Understanding of the SDLC framework – required
• Experience with release management – required
• Strong working knowledge of .Net C# , WPF and WC
• Experience with Entity framework, LINQ and Microsoft SQL Server as backend – required
• Good understanding of MEF – required
• Understanding and usage of MVVM design pattern
• Strong working knowledge of advanced design principles that facilitate maintainability, reuse, and clarity of design
• Good understanding of TFS – required
• Experience with Gemini framework – a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) – a plus
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) – a plus
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – a plus

Required Experience:
• 5+ years managing in-house software development teams
• Management of development teams, including on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore
• Lead in house development efforts for in house built software
• Management of third party development partners
• Experience managing third party vendors from RFP to selection, to integration into the SDLC and
continuous management
• Experience working with multiple vendors to in the product delivery
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Active listening skills
