This is a great opportunity for someone who has a JD but has not passed the bar yet. I am a solo practitioner who is looking for a part-time law clerk to assist with writing and filing liens, briefs, and complaints. The person would also write research memorandums and help to organize factual information for cases.
Initially, the workload will be small (e.g., 5 to 10 hours a week) and be done remotely with in-person meetings at my office to go over the week's work. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to fundamentals, to build up examples of your work product for your eventual application to a large law firm and rise to legal stardom, and to witness firsthand the harsh and grim reality of solo practice.
The work can either be project-based or hourly. The hourly rate would start at $20.
To apply, just email in your resume and a brief paragraph about you so I have some context of who you are. Then we can schedule a call or meeting to see if it's a good fit.
