Digital Trends is looking for a freelance writer who can contribute news pieces, feature articles, and how-to articles on the topics of PC/Mac hardware and software. The writer may be asked to attend events on behalf of Digital Trends, report on the news as it breaks, and go hands-on with devices as they're revealed.
A passion for PC hardware and software is required. Familiarity with WordPress is a plus. The OS flag you wave -- Chrome OS, OS X, or Windows -- is less important than your general experience with, and love for, computing. PC gaming is not a significant part of this role.
To apply, reply to this post with three published clips and a brief introduction and/or resume. A personal blog or website can be sent instead of clips if it includes a portfolio. Put your first and last name in the subject line along with "Digital Trends Computing Writer."
Compensation is on a per-assignment basis and is negotiable based on experience. This is a freelance, telecommute role, but preference will be given to writers living in the United States, and most of all to writers in San Francisco, New York, and Portland, Oregon.
Digital Trends is an online technology magazine that covers all forms of electronics from the latest iPhone to 3D Printing. The site is visited by over 25 million users every month.
