We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Technology Developer with experience in Moodle/Totara, eLearning authoring and additional coding (CSS/HTML) skills. Resource should be an independent contractor who desires a long-term relationship and works on an "as-needed" basis. Position is not full time (40 hours weekly).

You will be in working on our growing portfolio of both new and existing sites, applications, widgets & tools; getting involved in complex bug fixes, intricate upgrades, and innovative improvements, as well as working on brand-new projects too. â€¢ A background in Moodle and Totara
â€¢ You know how to create high quality, scalability and secure tech
â€¢ You are experienced with modern coding, testing, debugging and automation techniques
â€¢ You care about front and back end web technologies, from the UI to the database
â€¢ You can navigate relational databases
â€¢ Familiarity with some (preferably all of): PHP7, MySQL, HTML5, AWS, Ubuntu
â€¢ An excellent problem solver and have the ability to architect a solution based on general requirements and discussions
â€¢ Familiar with standard professional software development processes including working from requirements and standards documents, task estimation, documenting designs, source code control, unit testing
â€¢ Able to express and communicate thoughts and ideas (both written and verbally) to both technical and non-technical audiences
â€¢ Analytical, organized, detail-oriented and self-directed
â€¢ Able to work well alone or within a small team
â€¢ Have worked in a similar environment - small company environments where team members must sometimes extend beyond their traditional job description (ie., start-up environment)
â€¢ Build on learning platforms (based on Moodle)
â€¢ Fixes and enhancements
â€¢ Deliver high-quality code, working in an environment that strives for innovation
â€¢ A small amount of server admin and dev ops
â€¢ Collaborate with other product owner and learning technologists
â€¢ Comfortable talking to, demonstrating and deploying to customers
â€¢ Design, communicate, implement and test new features, components and functionality
