Position Description
We are currently hiring a Computer Field Technician IT Consultant to help service our business and residential customers in the Miami area. This is an advanced-level technical position that requires prior experience as an IT Technician servicing residential and business clients in the field onsite at client locations.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Technician consultant contractors are responsible for all of their business expenses related to the position and for having their own tools and private vehicle for all travel related to the position.

Position Details:
As a Computer Field Technician IT Consultant your responsibility will be to work on-site with our residential and business clients to address their widely varying IT needs.

Typical work performed may include problem diagnosis, virus removals, router installations, computer installations, server implementations, network troubleshooting, sales of computer hardware and software, training, and business IT consulting. Although this is a technical services position, direct sales of hardware and software will be critical to achieving your financial goals for the position.

You will be responsible for constant communication with the company, monitoring your schedule hourly for assigned leads, traveling to and attending on-site appointments within set appointment windows, completing jobs successfully, completing paperwork for jobs completed, responding to client telephone calls, texts and emails to capture company leads, and attending the regular company meetings via video conference.

Position Requirements
• 5 years' hands-on experience troubleshooting computer related hardware/software
• Industry certification (A+ (CompTIA), MTA (Microsoft), etc.)
• 3 years' experience providing direct technical support to clients:
- Windows 10, 8.1 and 7 Operating Systems
- Microsoft Office and Office 365 - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Google Mail and Google Suite experience
- PC imaging and configuration
- TCP/IP, Routers, Firewalls, WAPs, Wifi and other networking devices
- Spyware / adware removal tools / antivirus programs
- Internet and search engines
• An advanced understanding of computers, computer related equipment, networking, common computer software, and IT security
• Knowledge of all facets of PC desktop and laptop hardware, setup and maintenance including installation and configuration of hard drives, NIC's, printers, and other PC accessories
• Experience with Mac is preferred, but not required
• Business/Enterprise experience highly desirable

Additional Requirements
• Strong communication, presentation, training, and follow up skills
• Strong organizational skills to work within our team structure and manage responsibilities
• You must supply your own tools for providing services to our clients. Tools include but are not limited to screw driver set, punch-down tool, magnifying glass, multi-meter, various cables such as SATA/IDE/MVNE to USB, control hardware, tablet PC and laptop computer.

Technicians are compensated $34 to $44 per hour for time spent on-site at client sites, and commissions for sales of hardware, software and parts purchased by our clients.

Applicants are required to complete up to 5 hours of preliminary in-house training to be eligible for this position

The position is strictly a 1099 independent contractor position and no other benefits are included beyond hourly fees and commissions on sales.
