We provide IT managed services to small and mid-size businesses within a 10 to 15 mile radius of Buffalo Grove, IL and are looking for an information technology professional who is experienced at architecting and supporting servers and networking solutions. As a senior engineer you will meet with clients to understand their infrastructure needs, then work within our architecture standards to recommend supportable and scalable technology solutions that you will be responsible for implementing and troubleshooting. As an employee, you will be the face of our company to our clients and will have the opportunity to work with many different types of organizations. You will be an integral part of a multi- disciplined team that works in a virtual environment, both from your home and onsite at our client's offices. This position provides the opportunity to work in a project based environment with the opportunity to perform work at the most productive work location.

Technical Skills
• Microsoft Windows Server and VMware - Administration, Troubleshooting, Virtualization
• Server file and image based backup and recovery
• Planning and implementing server installation and migration projects
• Cloud Server Migration, Configuration Management and Administration
• Cloud File Synchronization Migration, Configuration Management and Administration
• SonicWALL and Fortinet Firewalls, VPN Configuration Management and Security Administration

Duties and Responsibilities
• Document ongoing work efforts
• Keep calendar and tickets updated
• Respond in a timely matter and follow-up to assure customer satisfaction
• Communicate and leverage team and outsourced resources when possible
• Provide expert engineering and support in Microsoft networked environments

Candidate will work independently, often from home and with minimal direct supervision. Access to a private and secure home office work space is a requirement. Candidate needs to be willing to travel to customer locations on a regular basis. Access to a car in good working order is a requirement. Certification and training reimbursement available. Paid time off. Compensation based on experience.
