A position for graphic design, primarily in the form of desktop publishing, is currently available. This position is a telecommuting position. You will be responsible for providing your own office space; computer hardware; Adobe Create Suite software; and communications including but not limited to Internet, email, and phone access. Scheduling is flexible and on an as-needed basis with up to 15 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $19-$33 per hour, depending on experience.

Assist the NCWIT Design Coordinator with publication design and brand management. A contractor will:
-- create professional print layouts from text files and stock photography, by using existing InDesign templates or by recreating existing PDF files in InDesign
-- follow branding standards for fonts, colors, logos, and graphics
-- meet all project deadlines
-- proficiency with Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) on a Mac
-- familiarity with MS Office suite
-- educational and/or professional experience with graphic design
-- ability to work independently and to thrive in a small-team, start-up environment
-- capacity to receive and act on constructive feedback
-- excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
-- Professional writing experience or a journalism/advertising/public relations background
-- Knowledge of HTML
