The Graphic/Web Designer wears multiple hats in collaboration with many Volt groups. The culture in this office customer focused, positive attitude, everyone digs in and helps, laid back but busy. This position is in downtown Portland, Oregon in a very creative awesome office space!
This is a part-time opportunity - hours 20 - 32 hours a week. Flexibility in work hours / days as long as they are consistent. This is a 6-month opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
• Create new print collateral (or update existing collateral) including sales materials, flyers, hand-out cards, postcards, signage, and other materials.
• Manage print process, from creating print-ready files to overseeing print process with a few key vendors.
• Update and design new pages for Volt's external websites using Ektron (CMS), including troubleshooting functionality and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate and contribute creative content/ideas for new collateral requests, marketing campaigns, and other client-defined content.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 2-3 years of experience preferred, in-house or with an agency
• Familiarity with print production workflows and file management
• Familiarity with Creative Cloud on PC (heavy on InDesign)
• Strong in HTML, CSS, and familiar with content management systems such as SharePoint and Ektron
• More Production work than Design (lots to do in limited hours)
• Ability to identify and address website issues is a plus (broken links, display issues, etc.)
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge in MS Office suite of products
• Experience working with a PC or MAC (both are available)
• Strong written and communications skills
• Demonstrated problem solving, decision making skills are essential
• A deadline driven, flexible and self-motivated individual
• Ability to keep several projects organized and meeting important deadlines
• Pre-employment screenings are required
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in the following areas are highly desired but not required: Graphic Design, Communications, Art, Marketing (creative side).
