Founded in 2005, Information Results Corporation is a customer focused, well-established small business which provides onsite IT Support services (software development, networking, desktop, email and phone) to businesses in the Greater Boston area. We also provide Online Shopping websites and related e-Commerce services.

We are seeking a part-time administrative / customer support associate to assist us in our company's growth. The position is primarily virtual, however, there will be regular in-person and online working sessions. This is a great opportunity to work with a technically adept company with a strong commitment to excellence and customer service.

The responsibilities for this very dynamic role fall into two categories. Below are some examples of the work in each category.

Technical Support

- Receive and track inbound customer requests
- Work with customers to clarify inbound requests
- Follow up with customers by email and/or phone
- Work with customer to setup email accounts, configure mobile devices
- Create and/or migrate website content
- Maintain customer dial plans and phone extensions
- Assist customers in setting up their online storefront

Administrative

- Setup appointments
- Document internal company procedures
- Maintain online resource center and knowledge base articles
- Contact vendors to gather information and/or resolve issues
- Maintain company website content
- Publish newsletters, news items and news releases
- Maintain Constant Contact and send out newsletters

Desired Skills and Demeanor

- Prior experience in administrative and/or customer support roles
- Very strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to carefully follow detailed procedures, and to document existing procedures
- Friendly, positive and helpful attitude
- Solid working knowledge of Windows and/or Mac
- Working knowledge of HTML coding
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Exposure to iPhone and/or Android devices
- Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred

Required Hardware/Software

- Reliable Mac or PC computer (desktop or laptop) with Microsoft Office installed
- Reliable and reasonably fast internet connection
- Reliable phone (landline strongly preferred)

Additional Details

As a part-time position, we estimate the initial time commitment will be about 5 to 10 hours per week. Over time, the number of hours could increase, depending on the interests of the candidate. This is a contract (1099) position.

This is not a super fast paced position, although some requests sent your way will be urgent. Due to the nature of remote work, staying connected to the team and overall higher purpose can be a challenge. To meet that challenge, we utilize an advanced online collaboration platform. However the greatest value is in face to face contact, therefore, we plan to keep in touch quite regularly in person.
