We are looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper for a six-person equipment supply store. We would prefer a retired person with a degree in accounting. Relevant experience or formal training in accounting or auditing services is also plus. Other key skills: doing data entry and being detail oriented, adept with financial and related computer software, and handy with a calculator. You may work from home; but must visit the office once or twice a week.
Your primary duties would include reconciling transactions, reconciling sales orders and payment receipts, recording accounts payable, preparing accounts payable checks, preparing payroll, and creating financial reports to share with members of management. As the sole member of the accounting department, you may be asked to complete other financial tasks as they crop up. You will not have required hours, work what you need to accurately complete the job function. You will be compensated fairly and treated with the utmost respect.
â€¢ MUST have thorough QuickBooks experience and appreciation for the system
â€¢ Great attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
â€¢ Work closely with company's President and CPA
â€¢ Experience with ADP payroll processing
â€¢ Full scope accounts receivable, from invoicing to collections
â€¢ Full scope accounts payable, from receiving invoices to check printing
â€¢ Complete or supervise Bank Reconciliations
â€¢ Journal entries
â€¢ Track all purchases and collect receipts from employees
â€¢ Special projects as assigned
