Status: 30-40 hours per week.

Company Profile:
Turner Law Firm is a three attorney litigation firm handling matters in civil business, real estate and insurance related litigation including toxic mold claims and real estate disputes (view rights, HOA's and neighbor v. neighbor, etc.).

Job Description:
This job encompasses a wide variety of legal and administrative tasks to be completed in a timely and efficient manner.

As paralegal this person is responsible for assisting the attorneys in the office with duties including, but not limited to:
• Preparing and serving discovery and discovery responses;
• Preparing and serving subpoenas and notices of deposition;
• Preparing and filing court documents (knowledge of the document filing and serving rules of court for Superior Court, Federal Court and Court of Appeals is appreciated);
• Maintaining a master office calendar for all cases;
• Document review and research;
• Client relations, including handling potential client intake.

As administrative assistant/office manager this person is responsible for duties including, but not limited to:
• Handling all incoming/outgoing mail;
• Maintaining office supplies;
• Handling all vendor invoices/payments;
• Preparing and handling all client invoices/payments;
• Handling all the scheduling needs of the office and attorneys;

Qualifications:
Experience
• At least 1-3 years in a legal setting

Education
• College level
• Paralegal certificate or 3 years working experience as a litigation paralegal preferred

Skills
• Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses etc.;
• Very detailed organizational skills to effectively process all paperwork and maintain multiple deadlines;
• Superb time management skills and the ability to asses which in a myriad of tasks is top priority;
• Must be very comfortable with computers, technology and learning multiple different software programs- demonstrated experience with PCs, Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat.
