This position offers considerable potential for advancement and a significant amount of flexibility when compared to traditional CPA firms. We estimate that you will be required to be present in our Denver office 1-2 days/week and at the client's location as required during audit fieldwork. The rest of this full-time position can be performed remotely (e.g. a home office).

â€¢ Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements from planning through issuance.
â€¢ Prepare and analyze financial statements, evaluate internal controls, and communicate effectively with clients.
â€¢ Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
â€¢ Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented.
â€¢ Prepare Form 990s for clients.
â€¢ Develop staff and provide on the job training.
â€¢ Ensure adherence at all times to firm and professional standards.
â€¢ Perform other related duties as assigned.
The successful and ideal candidate will possess:
â€¢ A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and working towards or eligible to sit for the CPA Exam (CPA Licensure is desirable, but
â€¢ Minimum of 2 years of recent audit experience in a public accounting firm.
â€¢ Demonstrated skills and experience in managing goals through collaboration and teamwork.
â€¢ Comfort level and preference for working within a small firm environment.
â€¢ Exposure to accounting for not-for-profit organizations desirable but not mandatory.
â€¢ Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required
â€¢ Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
â€¢ Experience with Creative Solutions/Engagement CS and UltraTax software desirable but not mandatory.
â€¢ Strong analytical skills and ability to apply problem solving techniques
â€¢ A GREAT and POSITIVE attitude, outstanding client service skills, and a desire to learn and grow!
