Full Time Sitecore Project Manager

We are a San Francisco based boutique digital consultancy specializing in the Sitecore Web CMS platform, Marketo's marketing automation platform and related digital experience, Web CMS and marketing technologies. We work with a range of mid-sized businesses, local government and enterprise clients. We have a strong focus on the quality of our deliverables and seek to form long term relationships with our clients.
We are looking for a proactive project manager to join our team on a full time basis. Location is flexible but you must work during US business hours, preferably Pacific Time.
The Project Manager's focus will be on creating documentation for project initiation, tracking project progress, timeline and budgets, project reporting and analytics, and quality assurance. To do this they should have great administrative skills with superb attention to detail. A strong understanding of the principles of agile project management, appropriate methodologies and processes are vital.
This role calls for an individual who can focus on the detail while keeping an eye on the horizon and understanding clearly how the two points connect.
This role reports to the consulting services Practice Director.
â€¢ 4-year university degree or equivalent work experience
â€¢ 2-3 years of project management experience including working with both agile and waterfall models
â€¢ 2-3 years of experience with digital projects working with enterprise level clients and enterprise class tools
â€¢ 2+ years of experience with the Sitecore CMS platform
â€¢ Strong experience with project management tools such as Jira, budget/time tracking tools like Harvest, and Google Drive
â€¢ A business level understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, responsive design and jQuery.
â€¢ Experience in an agency environment desired but not required
A successful candidate will understand and embody the following:
â€¢ Know when to delegate upwards and raise the alarm at the right time, to the right people when issues occur.
â€¢ Ensure that relevant clients and account team members are kept up to date on project developments: changes in timings, costs and any issues arising.
Attention to detail
â€¢ Be on top of projects and know timings, key milestones, budgets, resourcing, risks, etc.
â€¢ Ensure that internal and client sign-offs are obtained on all key project deliverables, and that you have an audit trail to protect yourself if things go wrong.
â€¢ Be positive and a force for good in the team - even when faced with difficult problems.
â€¢ Be solutions oriented and remain calm and constructive under pressure
Be able to jump into areas outside of your immediate team. This means sharing resources, helping across accounts, taking part in sales pitches or managing internal initiatives.
Project Management & Delivery
â€¢ Support the delivery of multiple work streams for various types of digital experience projects within an account (e.g., web-site development, mobile apps, digital marketing, etc.) to agreed scope, timings, budget and quality
â€¢ Work with internal teams to help define project scope, resource requirements and cost estimates for projects
â€¢ Encourage and facilitate collaboration. Set up projects in project management tools to give full visibility but allow the team to collaborate independently
â€¢ Assign and track issues
â€¢ Assess the time and financial impact of changes and communicate to Practice Director as appropriate.
â€¢ Understand the workings and needs of the account you are partnered with; have a good understanding of the brands you work on - their definitions and core characteristics
â€¢ Understand the key technical aspects of the development process for website delivery as appropriate to your client.
â€¢ Be commercially aware: At all times have an idea of the status of the budget of your projects; status reports should be updated weekly and any variations from budget accounted for and where possible mitigated before they happen.
â€¢ Manage/Review contractor time logs.
â€¢ Generate client timesheet reports and client invoices.

â€¢ Make it your business to learn as much as possible about modern digital experience tools, practices and challenges: reading relevant blogs and articles, attending training sessions, talking to experts and taking an interest generally in what is going on around you.
â€¢ Be plugged in to new trends and developments across the industry and particularly within your clients' sectors.
â€¢ Understand the different types of available and emerging media, particularly online, including constraints and opportunities presented by each.
