30-year-old, established and successful, IT consulting firm is looking for experienced freelancers to be hired as Network Engineers, Server Engineers, or Tech Support Engineers.

NOTE: These are contractor positions, paid hourly. The positions may become full-time based on performance.

The right candidates are Computer Science graduates with MCSE and CCNA certifications that must be, first and foremost, excellent communicators with a great personality, strong problem solvers, experienced in the field, and self-driven team players that understand as much about networks, servers, systems management, and technology as they do about people and customer service.

The primary job responsibilities are:

Be a team player in a small team of elite IT Consultants delivering Managed IT Services to a diverse clientele
Manage and coordinate with our team on the best way to deliver services to clients, including scheduling and communicating internally and to the clients, and documenting client sites
Implement, support and maintain servers, networks, desktops, laptops, and related gear
Implement, support and maintain a diverse variety of software and SaaS solutions
Provide timely and expert personal technical support services for the users
Clearly communicate and interact with the users, and understand their technical problems
Effectively communicate empathy and confidence to the users, while respecting their urgency
Proactively anticipate and manage the IT needs of the users
Provide monitoring and support for Local Area Networks, including VoIP systems
On a rotating basis may be required to be on-call
Handle remote service needs of clients and client sites
Responsible for the maintenance of all client IT systems, applications, security, and network configurations, including backup procedures, anti-virus scans, etc.
Participate in research and make recommendations on new software, hardware and workflow solutions as applicable to the client's needs


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus industry certifications (MCSE, CCNA, etc.)
Excellent communication and management skills, with the personality to match
3 - 7+ years on-the-job experience in supporting servers, networks, and client infrastructure
Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Servers, AD, O365, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint Servers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suites
Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast-pasted, demanding environment
Solid understanding of common business software
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications

Preferred Qualifications

Prior MSP field and management experience is highly desirable
Cyber Security Certified (CSX, CISSP)
Project Management experience (PMP)

The positions are paid hourly, based on qualifications and experience. They are spot-bonus eligible.
