Independent Bench Jeweler - skilled trades / artisan - job employment

JobPosting
City: Seattle-tacoma

Category: Skilled Trade / Craft

I'm looking for an independent jeweler to work with on an ongoing basis to produce my jewelry line. In the process of looking for a manufacturer, I've decided that's not the approach I want to take. I prefer direct and personal working relationships based on collaboration. I want to work with someone local (anywhere in Washington state) and who is as passionate about their craft as I am about mine.

I have over 100 designs ready to go and many more in the works. At this time, I'm only designing pendants, but will later expand to other jewelry categories. I'll provide much more detail after an NDA is signed... my apologies for the mystery!

This is a freelance/contract position - hours and timelines are negotiable. I take finances seriously; I pay invoices within two days (usually within hours) of receipt via direct deposit and I would be happy to pay a deposit for work to commence. Having worked independently myself in business for over 12 years, I have an understanding and appreciation of the needs of most freelancers; to have flexibility in your schedule and to be given the freedom to do what you do best.

You'll need to have your own shop and equipment or ready access to what you need. I've listed several services I need performed and I realize that it's a lot. With that said, if you can do most of what I'm looking for and are willing to oversee/manage/coordinate one or more of the processes mentioned, I am completely open to that.

Here's what I need:
• models and molds made
• casting in precious metals and alloys
• gold plating
• finishing
• stone setting (in some designs)

Please respond with your resume, website link and/or photos of your work, as well as your fixed and/or hourly rates. Thank you for your time and consideration!
