To-date, Qeepsake has saved over 6 million memories for parents and thousands of new parents are signing up weekly. With a founding team of design & growth experts, and a fresh $850k seed round led by Launch Capital, Qeepsake is poised to grow rapidly into a household name for this evergreen market of parents worldwide.
In this role as a front-end engineer for Qeepsake, you'll be responsible for owning the front end of Qeepsake, tackling a myriad of projects including social media integration, new interfaces to allow parents to capture holiday and recurring event content, overhauling the application's front end and applying a framework, and way more. Since 90% of Qeepsake's traffic is via mobile, you'll apply a responsive mobile-first ethos to your work.
--Creating mobile-first responsive layouts
--Integrating with our current back-end
--Working with the marketing & analytics team to optimize onboarding
--Adding UI polish with jQuery and other tools as necessary
--Using complex data to develop interactive interfaces
--Test-driven Ruby on Rails codebase
--Heroku deployment using CircleCI
--Copious amounts of async jobs via Sidekiq
--Lean and clean HTML/CSS front-end (for now!)
--2+ years front-end development
--Mastery of at least one front-end framework (ReactJS preferred)
--Familiarity with a Rails back-end
--Strong sense of usability / user experience (design skills are a nice-to-have)
--Ability to work a combination of on-site in Waltham, MA
--Remote-only candidates also considered
