Position Title: Unarmed Patrol Officers
Location: Placer and Sacramento County
Classification: Non-exempt, PT/FT
Compensation: Hourly wage, depends on experience and assigned site
Shifts: Grave shifts (9pm-5am and 11pm-7am)

Position reports to: Site Supervisor and Operations Office
Security Officer Job Purpose:
Maintains safe and secure environment for the assigned site, client and employees by controlling access, patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Security and/or Roving officer will guard the assigned site against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. May be required to enforce parking. This job classification requires knowledge of security procedures and policies.
Security Officer Job Duties:
Depending on site; the officer(s) will conduct patrols by way of an assigned mobile and/or foot patrols of the site. Patrol areas of assigned locations within site. Must display exceptional customer service. Officers will interact with the public and local law enforcement agencies. Excellent telephone communication skills, provides directions to guests, vendors, contractors etc. Must be able to multi task.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling assigned site; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting common areas. Respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
Communicates incidents, special needs and/or emergencies to appropriate party including site supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains accurate daily activity records. Reports all suspicious findings to appropriate management in a timely manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or general education degree (G.E..D) plus one (1) to two (2) years security experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge: Skills/Abilities
Basic ability to operate office equipment, a computer and related software applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications (as needed).
Surveillance skills, judgement, objectivity, dependability, safety, professionalism. Alert and attentive
Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgement within established guidelines. Ability to work any shift, including but not limited to days, nights, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
Must be at least 21 years of ageValid Driver's license for the State in which applying
Clean driving record
BSIS issued Guard Card and certifications
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of all required licenses at all times, and must carry the license at all times while on duty.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Employees will experience the following demands for extended periods of time:
Sitting and standing for long periods.
Walking building and grounds, on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders
Read and write reports.
Run as needed
Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
Constants use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/ while using electronic device, notepad, typing reports or other administrative tasks.
Constant mental alertness and attention to detail is required while setting priorities and following up on assignments
Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume community (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment)
Depending on assigned site, work is performed in a on site company patrol vehicle and/or foot patrol. Exposure to extreme cold and changing weather conditions.
