We are looking for an experienced attorney to join our team. This is a part-time position (~10 hours/week) to start, with the intention of growing the relationship as we learn to work together. The position will be based in our Seattle office, but we are open to remote work and candidates who have schedule limitations due to other demands. We believe communication is key to a successful working relationship.
â€¢ Bar membership in Washington with no history of discipline
â€¢ At least 3-5 years of full-time (or equivalent) legal experience, preferably in a law firm setting
â€¢ No more than 2 years off in the past 5 years
â€¢ Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas: employment law, business law (drafting contracts, entity formation), and civil litigation
We choose our clients carefully and we work hard to provide them with the highest quality legal services. Candidates for this position must have the same work ethic as we do.
Additional Desired Qualifications
â€¢ Experience working directly with clients, including intake and managing client matters independently
â€¢ Experience interacting with court and regulatory agency staff and negotiating with opposing parties and counsel
â€¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and responsiveness to both client demands and requests within the firm
â€¢ Technological proficiency, especially with using online communication tools, web conferencing, e-signature, and productivity platforms
We would like to find someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who desires to contribute to the growth of the firm in addition to serving our clients. Our ideal candidate would become an integral part of the firm, participating in business development, speaking and writing with the goal of expanding his or her own professional network as well as the firm's client base, and actively participating in goal-setting for the firm. Partnership would be an option for the right individual.
Starting pay is $30-$60/hour DOE. Part-time schedule and hours to be determined. Experienced attorneys with their own solo practice may be considered for work on a contract basis.
